Meet Dr. Vito
Dr. Phil Vito is a native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He earned his undergraduate degree from Allegheny College and went on to the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He interned at Kirk US Army Hospital, Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland and at Central Medical Pavillion, Pittsburgh. He returned to Philadelphia to complete his residency at The Eye Institute.
Following residency he joined the Eye Department at HealthAmerica, a center based HMO, for several years where he met and married Joyce Knox, a cardiac nurse. They have two children, Christian and Caroline. In 1996, they moved to North Carolina and in 1999 Dr Vito established Holly Springs Eye Associates which has blossomed into a very successful practice. Dr. Vito is well know around town. He is an active member of the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce, Lion's Club, and Rotary, and is very proud to be involved in the Holly Springs community. Dr. Vito also takes every available opportunity to support local interests like the Cultural Center, Library and area schools.
Meet Dr. Lavender
Dr. Angie Lavender joined the practice in 2008. She brings with her vast eyecare and motherly experience to the practice and adds an new chapter to the Holly Springs Eye Associates story.
Dr. Angie Lavender is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving a BS in biology in 1995. She went on to receive a Doctorate of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia, PA in 1999. Dr. Lavender and her husband, Ed, started their life together in Apex 8 years ago. They currently make their home, along with their 3 children, here in Holly Springs. After practicing for 7 years in Fayetteville, Dr. Lavender is very excited to join the wonderful staff at Holly Springs Eye Associates and looks forward to serving patients close to home.
